The process
From the field to the box
Every cigar and every portion of chewing tobacco that leaves Peldar Factory goes through a carefully tended process, just as it has been done for generations in the Dominican countryside.
- 01
Growing
We plant and harvest in the Dominican countryside, selecting leaves by their position on the plant and their flavor potential.
- 02
Curing
Leaves hang in the curing barn and cure for as long as they need, without rushing the natural process that gives them character and aroma.
- 03
Fermentation
A second, controlled rest balances the leaf's moisture and flavor before it reaches the roller's hands.
- 04
Hand rolling
Every cigar is assembled and rolled by hand, leaf by leaf, following techniques passed down through generations.
- 05
Quality control
We check draw, burn, and presentation of every piece before it leaves the factory.
- 06
Packing
Every box is assembled and sealed by hand, ready to reach your table or our distributors' shelves.
